Save the shelter

$20.00

For over 20 years, Hobo Haven has taken in the dogs nobody else would. Not the easy ones. The hard ones. The old. The sick. The blind and the broken. The strays dumped on a country road in the dark, the ones who'd already run out of time at an overcrowded pound.

It started with one dog and one promise. His name was Hobo, put down on day three over a simple ear infection someone decided wasn't worth treating. He was worth it. That loss became a vow: no dog left behind.

We still keep that promise. Every bowl. Every vet bill. Every cold night in a foster home where a frightened dog learns what safe feels like. We have no shelter walls, just families who refuse to let a dog wait alone.

There's no government check behind any of this. No safety net. Just people who refuse to look away, people like you.

Here's exactly what your gift does today:

  • 🐾 $20 feeds a dog for a week
  • 🐾 $50 feeds a dog for a month
  • 🐾 $100 keeps two dogs fed for a month
  • 🐾 $250 keeps five dogs fed for a month

These dogs didn't choose this situation. They just need someone to show up. Right now, that someone is you. ❤️

About Hobo Haven Rescue

Hobo Haven Rescue is based in St. Jacobs, Ontario, and we help Canadian dogs only. We do not import.

Founded in 2003, we're guided by a simple mission: no dog left behind.

But we can't do it alone. Whether you foster, transport, volunteer, adopt, or donate, every bit of help makes a real difference in a dog's life.

It takes a village.

Our team of volunteers is small but mighty, and every one of them is genuinely committed to giving our dogs a fresh start. Each dog receives the veterinary care, rehabilitation, and training they need before beginning a new life.

We don't operate out of a shelter. Instead, every dog in our care lives in a loving foster home, surrounded by comfort, patience, and plenty of affection while they finish their vetting and wait for the right family to come along.

What brings us together is a shared love of animals. What keeps us going is watching the difference we can make, one dog at a time.

We rely on donations to keep this work going, and right now the need is greater than ever. Please consider giving what you can to help us help more.
